Using Deep Learning to increase the functionality of a street sweeper
Description
Johnston Sweepers is a world leading manufacturer in the field of street cleansing. The Associate will acquire skills to
overcome the challenges of transitioning into industry, developing real world applied business skills.
Deep learning is an exciting and interesting subject, and this project will provide the opportunity to implement this area of
technology into a commercial product - a complex machine incorporating many engineering disciplines. The Associate will
work with skilled teams to help integrate the (DL) techniques into existing controls, specifically hydraulics, pneumatics,
electronics, process controls, software systems, and human machine interface. The challenge to sense debris to adjust and
control the systems and yield map the debris collected is a significant advanced challenge that will transform the machine
performance in noise and energy use
